Losing yet winning?

Have you had the feeling when winning was such a feat that the pleasant feeling became one of your greatest addiction?

Demoralizing event it may be, but it happened. We lost. I lost, to be exact. It had been since never that I felt so taken aback by a lost. Okay, yes, losing a match or two with some old man could seen like peanuts as compared to the whole plethora of ways to fail/lose. But, if you poured in heart and soul into the competition (or perhaps, anything else you do), losing would momentarily seem like an avalanche that comes crashing down on you. And, the worst part: you are left there standing, without anyone but yourself to blame. Could actually feel the whole atmosphere sinking under the growing weight of disappointment.

But the best part of today’s competition is the great company!! Had such an interesting time (after the competition) at Ching’s house cooking maggie-mee, trying to (NOT) learn mahjong, a useless skill which I probably won’t use in the coming 5 years…, and watching Frozen! BTW IT WAS MY VIRGIN TRY AT COOKING.

Wouldn’t have gotten over today so easily without Exparia (:

and yes I’m sure that we’ll all do our best for the upcoming Nationals regardless of the outcome~
